Here's what happened in 2006:
January 2006 - Champion #23!
Tory finished her AKC Championship by going Winners Bitch at
the Second North Star Herding Group Club Show in St. Paul, MN under judge Mr.
Rick Gshwender. She is the third AKC Champion for her
dam, Cherrysh My Spring Lily. This will give Lily the CDCA Register Of
Merit award. Toby also finished his
Rally Novice Title (RN) on Sat of these shows.
Hosea was Best of Breed over two Champions (Jewel and Gabe) at
the shows in Des Moines, Ia which gave him his first major. He was also
Best Opposite Sex on Sunday over Gabe.
February 14, 2006 - Westminster Kennel Club
Jewel (Ch. Cherrysh Crown Of Jewels CDCA HC) won Best Opposite
Sex at Westminster Kennel Club at only 14 months old! She handled the
whole New York City experience quite well. From jumping into her crate in
the back of the Taxi SUV at the airport to walking on the busy New York streets
to meeting and greeting people in the lobby of the Hotel Pennsylvania on the day
before the show. She truly was a jewel all weekend.
February and March 2006 - New puppies!
Flame had her first litter of puppies on Feb 27, 2006.
There were four very nice puppies sired by Blaze. On March 6, Lily had
five puppies sired by Hosea.
April 2006
Roy (Melech Adom me Shaar Hagai) won his first 2 points at the
Waterloo Kennel Club show. Roy is co-owned with Lorna Hastings of England
and will be going to live there later this year. He was bred by Myrna
Shiboleth and is a double breeding on Barak.
May 2006 - CDCA Specialty and more
The first weekend in May at the Madison, Wi shows, Patriot was
Winners dog on Sunday and Jewel was Best Of Breed Both days. Hannah was
Winners Bitch and Best Of Winners for 2 points on Sunday. Hannah is CHF
Israeli Jewel owned by Dorey Carlson of Alaska. Dorey sent her to me to
take to the CDCA National because she wasn't able to go. Hannah is seven
years old and an Amitz daughter.
On May 19, 2006, Jewel (Ch. Cherrysh Crown Of Jewels CDCA HC) won Best
In Sweepstakes at the CDCA National Specialty under English Breeder Judge Mrs.
Jill Terry. Patriot (Bless-ed Be Cherrysh Patriot) was Best Opposite

judge Mr. Robert Stein. She was Best Opposite Sex the following day at the
All Breed show under judge Mr. Jon Cole.
June 2006
Hosea won two more points at the Lake Minnetonka shows and
Jewel was best Of Breed both days. At the Cambridge, MN shows, Jewel was
Best Of Breed both days under large Canaan Dog entries and really did a nice job
of showing. There were 11 on Sunday and she defeated her half brother and
new champion Pleasant Hill Wish Granted. Grant is also sired by Eli.
July 2006 - Eli earns CDCA ROM with his fifth AKC Champion
offspring!
On July 3, Cherrysh Sing So Into You (Denver) finished his AKC
Championship making him the fifth AKC Champion for his sire Lahat me Shaar Hagai.
This will earn Eli the CDCA Register Of Merit Award! Denver is owned by
Michael Banister and Melvin Larsen. Melvin showed him to a tee and
received many compliments on him at every show they went to. He
started his winning spree this spring after not being shown since the CDCA
specialty in 2004 by winning three majors at the Louisville shows. He
earned his last four points three of the four days during the Bel Alton circuit
the first weekend in July. Zeke's daughter, Bless-ed Be My Neshama (Shama)
also owned by Michael and Melvin (handled by Michael) was Winners bitch three of
the four days. She was Best Of Breed on the first day.
Not to be out done by his mother (Shama), Patriot, Bless-ed Be
Cherrysh Patriot, was Winner Dog twice at shows in Vermillion, SD the same
weekend. He was second in the 9-12 month All Breed Puppy Sweepstakes, too.
Sept 2006 - Patriot is a new champion!
Patriot won his last major at the shows in Rochester, Mn under
judge Chris Walkowitz with his new buddy, Kaitlyn showing him. He is my 24th AKC Champion.
Oct 2006 - The ICDCA Specialty was a fun trip!
Keith Shank, Victor Sanchez, Lee Boyd and I all "van"-pooled
together to the specialty in Georgia. We had 21 dogs in two vans! We
had a great time at the specialty visiting with Myrna, Lorna and all our other
friends. Myrna was the judge and we had our largest
entry ever - over 50 dogs with another 10 or so around the weekend. Patriot was
Reserve Best Male, Jewel was Best Female, Joseph won the Grand Champion Class
and Zeke's son, Bless-ed Be Aryon was Best Male, Best Of Winners and Best Of
Breed.
Jewel won Best Female the following two shows to finish her
UKC Championship. She also won the Champion Class one time. Patriot
was Best Male at two of the following shows.
