American Kennel Club Champion, United Kennel Club Champion, Canaan Dog Club Of America Herding Instinct - HCCherrysh Crown Of Jewels
Jewel is such a funny dog that is curious about everything that is going on around her. She likes to jump up to greet people and use them as a stretching post for her stretching pleasure. Jewel has had several nice wins in her young career. Her first weekend out at six months old, she won the Herding Bred By Exhibitor Group at the Lake Minnetonka Kennel Club show in June. She finished her AKC Championship in the fall of 2005 at the age of 10 months old. She won Best Of Breed over her champion half brother at the shows in Oklahoma City shows under judge Dorothy Nickels. She was Best Opposite Sex at Westminster Kennel Club on Feb 14, 2006. In May 2006, Jewel was Best In Sweepstakes at the CDCA National Specialty under English Breeder Judge, Mrs Jill Terry. She also won Award Of Merit in the regular classes under Judge Mr. Robert Stein. The following day at the All-Breed shows she was Best Opposite Sex under Mr. Jon Cole. Jewel was Best Female at the ICDCA 2006 National Specialty under Israeli Breeder/Judge Mrs. Myrna Shiboleth. In Jan. 2007, she won a Group 4 at the Central Iowa Kennel Club show under Mrs. Carolyn Herbel. She was Best Of Opposite at the first Canaan Dog Club of America Regional Club hosted by the Midwest Canaan Dog Club on May 5, 2007. She was Reserve Champion at the ICDCA 2007 National Specialty and she finished 2008 as the AKC #2 Canaan Dog. She won back to back Group First and Second at AKC shows in Lawrence, KS on Oct 13 and 14 under judges, Prof Douglas Taylor and Mr. Norman Herbel, respectively. She needs one more win in the Champion of Champions class for her UKC Grand Champion title. On Feb 11, 2008, she was BOS at Westminster dog show with 2 dogs and 3 bitches in competition..
