Jewel is such a funny dog that is curious
about everything that is going on around her. She likes to jump up to
greet people and use them as a stretching post for her stretching pleasure.
She does not accept people until they have been accepted by me after I have
talked with them for a few minutes. Then she will acknowledge that they
are there by asking to be petted.
Jewel has had several nice wins in her
career including several Group placements and she made the cut many more groups. She
finished her AKC Championship in the fall of 2005 at the age of 10 months old.
She has been the top winning owner/handled Canaan Dog for 2006, 2007 and 2008.
She is the first owner handled Canaan Dog to finish the year as the #1 dog in
breed points. She will be retired after the 2009 Westminster show to have
puppies.
