Eli is a fun dog and very much a clown. When Eli started his show career in the spring of 2002, he had three reserve to majors to his dad, Barak. He got his first point on April 21, 2002 at my home show, Waterloo Kennel Club. He was Winners Dog two days the following weekend for two more points. Eli finished his AKC championship in the fall of 2003 at the Rochester, Mn shows by going Best Of Winners under judge Mrs. Paula Hartinger. Eli has two wins towards the three needed for his UKC championship. He has six champion offspring with another three pointed puppies out of five litters. In 2006, five of the top ten Canaan Dogs were sired by Eli.

Unfortunately, none of his show photos turned out very well and this is the best picture I have of him. That's Lizzy, Zeke and Grace in the background of his picture.

Eli finished his UKC Championship in June 2007. He almost beat his daughter, Jewel for Best Of Breed at both shows. Eli was Best Opposite Sex in the Veteran Sweepstakes at the 2007 CDCA National Specialty and he also won the Stud Dog Class.
