Here's what happening at our house:

January 2007 - Group 4!

Our first weekend out for the year found Jewel in the ribbons in the Group ring.  She was Group 4 under Mrs. Carolyn Herbel and I was so excited.  She showed like a dream.

February 2007 - Westminster Kennel Club

Jewel and I went again this year but no ribbons for us this time.  She showed well and we had a great time sharing a room with our new bloodhound friend, Barkley, from Oklahoma City and I had a great time exploring the city with my roommates!

March 2007 -

We took an adventure to the Tibetan Spaniel National Specialty in Fort Worth, Texas with 18 of the little guys and four of my guys.  Diamond won the major both days and Jewel was Breed one day.  Melek was Best of Winners for both his majors, too.  Marianne did great with her guys, too.  Marianne and I had a great time and made some new friends.  I meet some tibbie breeders from the UK that also judge Canaan Dogs.  It was great to visit with them.  I also meet some of Ellen Minto and Amanda Pough's friends from upstate New York.  Of course, I can't remember anyone's name, though.

May 2007 - First CDCA Regional Specialty and new champion!

On May 5, 2007, the CDCA held it's first regional specialty hosted by the Midwest Canaan Dog Club. The judge was Mr Norman Herbel and Diamond was Winners Bitch and Best Of Winners to finish her AKC Championship.  Jewel was Best Opposite Sex and Joseph won the Veteran Dog class.

June 2007

The first weekend in June I took several older dogs to four UKC shows to finish their titles.  Several of them had wins at the nationals so I figured is was time to take them out again.  So Patriot, Eli, and Petra finished their UKC Ch. and Petra was Reserve Best In Multi-Breed Show on Sat!  I couldn't believe she showed so well and had a great time wagging her tail at the judge and really moving nicely.  Jewel was entered on Sun along with the new champions to give Jewel two wins towards her Grand Champion title.  Eli finished on Sun and almost won the breed over Jewel at both shows.  He is such a pretty dog and moves so effortlessly.

July 2007 - Hosea gets his last major! for my 26th AKC Champion!

Well...I guess this actually happened on June 29.  He won his last major by beating his son, Desi and two half brothers also sired by Eli in Oklahoma City the first weekend in July.  I had a great time and Viva was Best of Winners for her second major on Sat, Venus did the same thing on Sun for her first major. Jewel was Best Of Breed all three shows.

July 13, 2007 - 14th ICDCA National Specialty!  And new puppies on the same day!

On Friday July 13, AKC UKC Cherrysh Mi Corazon Miracle HC was Best Of Breed at the ICDCA National Specialty!  She is co-owned with Alla Geretz and handled by Alla.  She also won the Brood Bitch Class.  Cherrysh Sing So Into You (Denver) was Reserve Best Male, Cherrysh Day Star Diamond was Best Female and Best Of Winners.  Jewel was Reserve Champion.  Patriot won the champion class on Sunday as did Jewel.  Flynn - owned by Lee Boyd (GRCH, AKC Ch Cherrysh Fire And Rain, RN, HC was Best In Multi-Breed Show on Sat!  He was Best Of Breed at all shows following the specialty, too.

Lily had five puppies later that night - two girls and three boys!
