Other Old Home Renovations:
Love My Old Home - A webring for people with home restoration web pages. If the page can be found here I don't list it.
Our House - Another young couple restoring a Victorian home.
Our Victorian - A Victorian restoration in California. I wish I had enough energy to do theme rooms!
Idlewild- A fancy Victorian home in Monrovia.
Brickman House- This is such a fun to read web page, but do it when you have lots o' time. Laughter is good after spending all night "destroying" your home.
Old House Restoration- Not really much of a site about a specific home, but has some tips that these people must have learned through the years.
Chilton House- I'm so jealous of all of the great old features that didn't get 70'dified in this house.
Enon Hall - Another GREAT page that you need tons of time to read since they've been slaving away since 1999.
BangYourThumb.com - A Victorian row house restoration. Not much content on this site. They must be working hard instead of goofing around on the web like me.
Lott House Project - An old Dutch farm house in New York they are saving.
Farmertan House - A great page. It's comforting to see that someone finished a house and is living in it happily.
Stone Farm House - A darling little house.
House in Progress - Restoration of a Chicago bungalo
Products:
Woodharbor Doors and Cabinetry - Where we got our replacement doors, cabinetry, and replacement trim. Beautiful stuff!
Kolbe and Kolbe - The company we got our windows from. They were much cheaper than other companies we looked at with the same quality of product. The only problem is they don't have many choices for the alumnium cladding colors. Not a big deal for us since we don't have the house painted yet.
Traditional Home-building - This page has more links to supplies than you'll ever be able to get through.
Monikas Treasures - We found our kitchen light here. She was very pleasant to work with.
Taylor's Victorian Screen Doors - Old fashioned wooden screen doors.
E-bay - I'll admit it, I've become a junkie, but we've found tons of great light fixtures here.
Historic House Parts - We got our foyer light here. They shipped fast and it was in incredible shape.
Vintage Woodworks - We got the post for the south porch here. It was just so much nicer than the ones at Home Depot.
Rejuvenation - Absolutely beautiful light fixtures! Order their catalog, it is so beautiful it could be a coffee table book. I love their philosophy!
Van Dyke Supply - All sorts of goodies here. We've gotten quite a bit of hardware from this site.
Warner Crivellaro - Where we found our stain glass. One complaint though, pictures in the catalog are not at all true to color.
Scott Porter Designs- Build your garage to look like an old fashioned carriage house. We think that the gothic one with the large central peak would be perfect for our home.
Misc.:
Pleasant Grove Cemetery - This is where we found the grave site of the man who built our home.
Preservation Online - I like to read this page when I get some spare time.
Historic Properties - Oh, if I had a money tree...
This Old House - Resource I use constantly.
Historic Relocations- You too can have a beautiful old home. This man takes old homes that people want torn down and sells them to people like me who love them who will them move them to a new home to save them.
Kindling - A newspaper article about what it takes to restore an old home.
